Accreditation

In accordance with the City of Charleston’s Tourism Ordinance (Chapter 29):

"Individuals or organizations desiring to function as a tour guide must become certified by the city’s Tourism Commission. In order to obtain a registered tour guide license an applicant must successfully pass both the written and oral tour guide examination."

In addition to the aforementioned requirements laid out by City Council, our guides go through a rigorous in-house training process in order to become Oyster Point historic tour guides. It is our goal to provide those visiting Charleston with the absolute highest quality tours, while constantly striving to act as ambassadors of our beautiful city.
